FST Biometrics announced that Avi Naor, a member of FST’s board of directors, has made an investment in FST Biometrics and has been appointed as chairman of the board, effective immediately. Naor previously served as CEO and president of Amdocs, which he co-founded, from 1995 until 2002 and led the company’s IPO in 1998 and is credited with building the company into the multi-billion-dollar powerhouse it has become.

FST Biometrics names Avi Naor, former founder of Amdocs, as its new chairman of the board. Naor also made a $3.1 million investment in the company. FST makes biometric identification products that allow authorized personnel to move about restricted areas such as offices, airports or hospitals without the need for fingerprint scanners or security cards. It was founded by Aharon Zeevi Farkash, a former head of Israeli military intelligence.
